Unistart Hubs: The Entrepreneurship Support Structures in the Peloponnese Region Move onto the International Stage and Form New Partnerships

The Knowledge-Intensive Entrepreneurship Support Structures in the Peloponnese Region, known as Unistart Hubs, are continuing their dynamic progress with significant international activities that promote innovation and development in the region. These initiatives are part of Subproject 1, "Organization and Operation of Structures," under the project "Establishment of Support Structures for Knowledge-Intensive Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Peloponnese Region," with MIS 6004735, and are included in the program "Peloponnese 2021-2027," co-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund - ERDF) and National Resources.

Through their participation in key events and the formation of strategic partnerships, they enhance entrepreneurship and connect with international markets.

Collaboration with SO Kwadraat

Unistart Hubs announce the start of a particularly strategic partnership with the Belgian organization SO Kwadraat SO Kwadraata leading entity with deep expertise in supporting entrepreneurship and creating sustainable business models. Over its 20 years of operation,  the organization has supported more than 800 startup teams and contributed to the establishment of over 200 successfu deeptech companiesThis collaboration aims to develop a strategy and methodology for business growth, tailored to the specific needs of businesses in the region, and to enhance entrepreneurial education and advisory support for businesses. Through the exchange of knowledge and best practices, the Peloponnese region will be able to strengthen local businesses, promoting innovation and sustainable development at both national and international levels.

The strategic collaboration of Unistart Hubs seeks to provide immediate access to international practices and methods that will help further develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Peloponnese, making it more competitive on a European level.

Participation in the TechBBQ 2024 International Exhibition | 17-19 September 2024

The participation of Unistart Hubs’ representatives at Tech BBQ 2024, the largest technology and entrepreneurship exhibition in Northern Europe, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, was noteworthy. There, Unistart Hubs had the opportunity to showcase their activities to an audience of over 7,000 participants and 2,000 businesses and exchange innovative ideas with representatives from the startup and technology ecosystem. OneonOne meetings with representatives from 6 universities, start up startup companies, and organizations, channels of communication and potential collaborations were established, aiming to strengthen the local entrepreneurial community.

The participation of the hubs in the exhibition provided valuable insights that will be integrated into their actions and operations, with the goal of implementing best practices in the Peloponnese region.
