Public Awareness Event of UniStart Hubs in Sparti
The event titled "Innovative Paths in Sports" was successfully held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Auditorium of the Department of Sports Organization and Management (TODA) in Sparta. The event was organized by UniStart Hubs as part of the Career Day of the TODA department.
The event highlighted the modern prospects for professional development in the field of sports, with a particular focus on entrepreneurship and the innovative opportunities offered by this sector. Participants were informed about the services provided by the UniStart Hubs and were presented with examples of successful business initiatives within the sports industry, aiming to strengthen the connection between the academic community and the market.
At the TODA alumni panel, professionals working in coaching, sports journalism, sports organization management, and sports expertise shared their experiences and personal journeys. They provided students with inspiration and practical advice for their next steps in the field.
During the interventions, it was emphasized that although entrepreneurship in the field of sports is a relatively recent area of interest for graduates, in recent years, the number of TODA graduates engaging in entrepreneurial activities has been steadily increasing, utilizing their knowledge and skills in innovative projects. In this context, there was also a reference to the spin-off company "Téchnathlon IKE", which is the first spin-off to come from the department and the University of the Peloponnese as a whole, confirming the opportunities that arise when academic knowledge meets entrepreneurial initiative.
The event concluded with a professional empowerment workshop focused on CV writing and professional presence on
LinkedIn, enhancing the participants' skills in networking and professional self-presentation.
The active participation of the student audience confirmed the importance of such initiatives that bridge academic studies with practical experience, enhancing entrepreneurial thinking and opening new pathways for tomorrow's professionals in the field of sports.
The event is part of Sub-project 1 "Organization and Operation of Structures" of the project "Creation of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Structures of Knowledge Intensity in the Region of Peloponnese", with code MIS 6004735. It is being implemented by the Union of Economic Entities under the name "BREAK-EVEN CONSULTING IKE and ELKE NTUA," consisting of the company "BREAK-EVEN CONSULTING IKE" and the Special Research Fund Account of the Public Law Entity "NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS," or simply ELKE NTUA.
