June 10, 2025

On Friday, June 6, 2025, the "Motivation Day" seminar, organized by the UniStart Hubs structures in collaboration with the Department of Business Administration and Organizations of the University of the Peloponnese, took place successfully as part of the 2nd Student Conference. The event was held at the University of the Peloponnese facilities in Antikalamos and attracted the interest of students, researchers, graduates, and members of the academic and business communities of Messinia.

The Motivation Day aimed to highlight the potential of innovation, entrepreneurship, public administration, and career prospects for the new generation of scientists, promoting the connection between theory and practice and strengthening the entrepreneurial culture within academic environments.

The event program began with a roundtable discussion on Public Administration, Public Policies, and Regional Development, featuring distinguished officials from the public sector and the academic community. Specifically, the panel included Giannis Psycharis (Professor, Panteion University), Athinaida Tourkolia (Head of the General Directorate of Control of Co-financed Programs, Ministry of Finance), and Natasha Tsartsara (Head of the Department of Internal Affairs, Digital Governance, Justice, and Institutions, General Secretariat for Coordination). The session was moderated by Charalambos Chrysomallidis, Assistant Professor at the University of the Peloponnese.

Parallel sessions followed, featuring presentations by undergraduate, graduate students, and PhD candidates, highlighting significant research approaches and innovative proposals in the fields of entrepreneurship, public administration, new technologies, intercultural management, local development, and cultural management. Special mention is deserved for the session organized by the Student Association, which provided a platform for initiatives that showcase student representation and creativity.

The event concluded with a workshop titled "From Studies to Professional Success: The Role of the Healthcare Sector and Preparation for the Job Market," where PhD candidates Mr. Gourzoulidis and Mr. Voudikaris shared experiences, advice, and useful tools for professional empowerment for those wishing to pursue careers in sectors of high social importance.

The Motivation Day was yet another initiative within the framework of UniStart Hubs, strengthening the connection between the University and the broader community, while practically showcasing the role of young scientists as agents of change and innovation.

The event took place within the framework of Subproject 1 "Organization and Operation of Structures" of the project "Creation of Innovation and Knowledge-Intensive Entrepreneurship Support Structures in the Peloponnese Region," with code MIS 6004735. It is being implemented by the Union of Economic Entities under the name "BREAK-EVEN CONSULTING IKE and ELKE NTUA," consisting of the company "BREAK-EVEN CONSULTING IKE" and the Special Research Account of the public law entity named "NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS" or simply ELKE NTUA.
